Reconciliation or retribution?, Steve Mulholland, Gerry Boulter

As Thabo Mbeki imposed his views on the country after replacing Nelson Mandela as president, so the racial agenda became increasingly vitriolic. I attempted to analyse the situation in a short piece in the Herald. I also run here two articles by other writers on similar issues, as well as taking a look at the history of one of Port Elizabeth's finest institutions.

This piece appeared in the Herald on November 23, 2002. (Please click on the article to see it in readable format.)

Appearing alongside my article above was this, in similar vein, by a Sundays River farmer, Valdy Jensen.

Steve Mulholland was my boss, as head of Times Media Limited, for many years. His articles in the Sunday Times's Business Times supplement were often brilliant.

As the name-change sword fell on the King George VI Art Gallery, I took a look back at its origins. The last part of this piece appears below.

The concluding part of the art gallery article.
