Faces

I thought I had to include these two pages of drawings of okes' faces done on the inside front and back covers of my military-issue notebook while on that, as it turns out, abortive officer's course at 1 Intelligence Unit, Kimberley, in late 1979 and early 1980. To alleviate the boredom, I did these quick sketches, often turning them into caricatures.

It's a strange thing about drawing, but there are some pictures among these where I can instantly recall exactly how the guy looked. Note how I exaggerated the one ou's beret.

Again, I had some fun with faces here, but during those lectures it was not uncommon for okes to fall asleep, only to be rudely awoken by an instructor shouting rather loudly in their ears.
